MIDI mono mode allows for each string to be assigned it’s own MIDI channel

YRG – FAQ

While holding the MIDI button, use the UP(^)/DOWN(v) buttons to scroll to values 17-20.  These provide 4 different channel mappings:

  • MIDI 17:
    Ch 01 – Low E string
    Ch 02 – A string
    Ch 03 – D string
    Ch 04 – G string
    Ch 05 – B string
    Ch 06 – High E string
  • MIDI 18:
    Ch 07 – Low E string
    Ch 08 – A string
    Ch 09 – D string
    Ch 10 – G string
    Ch 11 – B string
    Ch 12 – High E string
  • MIDI 19:
    Ch 06 – Low E string
    Ch 05 – A string
    Ch 04 – D string
    Ch 03 – G string
    Ch 02 – B string
    Ch 01 – High E string
  • MIDI 20:
    Ch 12 – Low E string
    Ch 11 – A string
    Ch 10 – D string
    Ch 09 – G string
    Ch 08 – B string
    Ch 07 – High E string
